In the latest edition of ESPN the Magazine, NBA MVP Derrick Rose says the NBA has a “huge” problem with steroids.
The four-letter network’s magazine also quoted him as saying the NBA needs “a level playing field”
Now, the Chicago Bulls guard told The Associated Press that he never said those things.
He issued a response through the team:
“Regarding the quote attributed to me in ESPN The Magazine, I do not recall making the statement nor do I recall the question being asked. If that was my response to any question, I clearly misunderstood what was asked of me. But, let me be clear, I do not believe there is a performance enhancing drug problem in the NBA.”
