Tim Curley is feeling confident, the Penn State athletic director hopes to hire a new men’s basketball coach in the near future.
He said the hire would happen “very soon” and some reports say it could be by the end of the week. Curley hinted that the opening had captured a fair amount of attention.
Curley is looking to replace Ed DeChellis, who left to take the same position with Navy. Curley issued a statement through the team to update the media and fans.
Team Spokesman, Brian Siegrist, didn’t offer a specific timeline or potential candidates.
Duquesne Head Coach, Ron Everhart, has been linked to the job according to The Associated Press.
