I feel bad for the headline, but at the same time, I don’t. I have no patience for people who do drugs.
Therefore I have no patience for Mack Herron, former New England Patriot. Because he is in trouble. For drugs. Again.
According to The Associated Press, the former NFL great – who set an NFL record in 1974 for most all-purpose yards – is in police custody after being charged with heroin possession in Chicago.
According to Chicago police records they spotted the 62-year-old on Friday near an abandoned building with a tinfoil packet containing heroin. The police records also show Herron has been arrested some 20 times and served jail time, mainly on drug convictions.
That is why I don;t feel bad.
Bail is set at $25,000.
Family members were perplexed by the arrest, according to The Associated Press. His sister told The Chicago Sun-Times that Herron was a religious man who didn’t smoke or drink.
