Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin is expected be to named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year on Wednesday.
The Clippers will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon to announce a major award.
The University of Oklahoma averaged 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 82 games this past season. Griffin had 63 double-doubles and became the first rookie since Yao Ming in 2003 to play in the NBA All-Star Game.
In addition to his solid numbers on the court, Griffin electrified fans across the globe with his powerful dunks and won the slam dunk competition at All-Star Weekend.
