Apparently an apology wasn’t enough.
Tuesday, Lakers center Andrew Bynum was suspended for the first five games of the 2011-2012 season. The league said the suspension was in response to Bynum’s flagrant foul on Dallas guard J.J. Barea in Los Angeles’ final playoff game.
The suspension is only two days after Bynum was ejected for the foul in the lop-sided 36-point loss to the Mavericks in Game 4.
The NBA went the full nine yards and also also fined Bynum $25,000 for ripping off his jersey while heading to the locker room.
