New York Red Bulls won their third straight game on the leg of Luke Rodgers, 1-0, over Sporting Kansas City. The Red Bulls pull ahead in the all-time series 17-16-9.
It was Rodgers’ third goal in three games.
After opening their 10-game road trip with a victory, Sporting KC has lost five-consecutive games and drop to 1-4-1. The Red Bulls improved to 4-1-2.
Rodgers scored in the 22nd minute, on the assist from Dwayne De Rosario – his second assist since coming over from Toronto in an April 1 trade.
