The Portland Trailblazers have signed center Earl Barron for the remainder of the season.
Barron is eligible for the playoffs.
The 7-foot-1 center has played for the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks this season averaging 3.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 19 games this season.
Barron had bounced between the NBA and NBDL over the past several seasons. He had a great run with the New York Knicks at the end of the 2009-2010 season when he averaged 11.7 points and 11.0 rebounds in 7 appearances. However he has not been able to capitalize on that success with consistent play.
Barron will provide inside depth for the Blazers as they head into the postseason.
