It might not have the same mystique or aura, but TD Ameritrade opened it’s doors tonight and welcomed the crowd into a new era of college baseball.
The $131 million stadium replaced Rosenblatt Stadium, which was home to the College World Series from 1950-2010.
Sure, the weather tonight was – at best – undesirable. Fans who showed up in pants and parkas were left gazing at the field, waiting for the College World Series to start in just two months.
The first game in the new digs: Nebraska-Creighton. For the record books: Nebraska’s Cody Asche had the first hit in the stadium, Creighton’s Trever Adams scored the first run.
