Jets’ players attempt to workout

The best news story to come out of the NFL “Laborgate” was this morning at the New York Jets workout facilities.

Apparently, Pro Bowl offensive tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson, guard Brandon Moore, wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery, defensive lineman Mike DeVito and linebackers Bart Scott and David Harris decided since the lockout was “over” that they would try and get in an early morning workout.

They arrived early Tuesday morning, looking to work out before learning that the weight room was not open. The group spent about 15 minutes there before heading back home.

According to The Associated Press the players dubbed the time “awkward.”

Moore told the AP it was “weird” not to have normal access, while DeVito said the facility “was like a ghost town” and thensaid he was immediately met by two team officials and told “there was nothing going on here.”

Across the state, Buffalo Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin said he was also denied entry into his team’s facility Tuesday morning.
