Two Florida basketball players have been arrested on felony burglary charges, according to multiple reports.
The St. Augustine police say sophomore Erik Murphy and freshman Cody Larson allegedly broke into a car a little after 2 a.m. after being thrown out of a bar for getting “close to an employee counting money.”
The two are now free on bond. Team manager Joshua Adel, was also charged with, a lesser crime, principal to burglary. He was the “lookout” man according to police reports.
Murphy and Larson were reserves this season, expected to play significant roles next season.
According to the Associated Press, “bouncers told the players to leave, then witnessed them breaking into a co-worker’s car across the street. Police say the victim didn’t notice any items missing from his car.”
