The Syracuse Orange plan to play 10 more games at the New Meadowlands over the next 30 years, according to multiple sources.
The Orange have already agreed to play USC and Penn State during the next two seasons and then and two more games against Notre Dame in the next five years.
The 10 additional games will be scheduled between 2019 and 2038. The team will use the stadium as a “home” game every other year.
Syracuse Athletic Director Daryl Gross i confident he can find the fanbase in teh Northeast to fund this move. This was made even more evident when Syracuse beat Kansas State 36-34 in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in December.
The Orange were 5-3 at the old Meadowlands and first played there in 1979. Now Gross is hoping the New Meadowlands will bring them a stroke of luck.
