Veteran pitcher Mike Hampton has announced his retirement from major league baseball.
The two-time All Star posted a 148-115 record during 15-year MLB career with the Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Braves, and Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 38-year old righty allowed 12 runs on 18 hits and 11 walks over 9 2/3 innings as a non-roster invitee with the Diamondbacks this spring.
