UConn standout Maya Moore scores 3,000th point

Connecticut senior forward Maya Moore has reached 3,000 points in her illustrious collegiate career.

Moore accomplished the feat with 3:47 remaining in the second half of Connecticut’s Elite Eight victory against the Duke Blue Devils.

Moore is just the 7th player to reach 3,000 points in a career.

Earlier in the day the Connecticut star became only the second four-time All-American when she was honored by The Associated Press.

“You take the points she’s scored, rebounds, steals, you add it all up, you would be hard pressed to find somebody who’s had a better career than that at Connecticut or anywhere else for that matter,” head coach Geno Auriemma said.
