More Cowboy woes. This morning, ex-Dallas Cowboy Eugene Lockhart Jr. is set to go to trial on an alleged $20 million mortgage fraud scam.
Multiple tweets have reported his difficulties.
Lockhart was charged with mortgage fraud in 2009 and released pending trial and according to the Associated Press, U.S. Magistrate Jeff Kaplan could rule on the issue Wednesday.
On top of that, the Dallas Morning News reported:
a woman who has known Lockhart for some time testified Tuesday that he told her to lie to the FBI after their October public-intoxication arrest and say she did not know him.
Lockhart’s attorney, Jay Ethington, is questioning if Lockhart actually encouraged the woman to lie.
