“I love Orlando. The city has been very good to me and I would love to finish my career here. I want to win a championship and I want to win it in Orlando. That’s all I’ve been thinking about.”
Magic center Dwight Howard appeared on the Dan Patrick radio show on Monday morning and expressed his desire to remain in Orlando. Howard’s contract is currently set to expire after the 2011-2012 NBA season.
Howard told Patrick that he would not hold his own television special to announce his decision and reiterated that his ultimate decision is two years away.
When Patrick asked him if he’d still leave if he won a title before his contract expires, Howard evaded the question.
Howard is suspended from tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers after picking up his sixteenth technical foul of the season.
