Barry Bonds case starts, Anderson in contempt

Hang on to your hats, the Barry Bonds case is going to be a bumpy ride.

Today, both sides are ready to give opening statements and, oh by the way, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston is expected to send Bonds’ former personal trainer, Greg Anderson, to jail on contempt charges – for keeping quiet.

If this is how the Barry Bonds case begins, historic is the only way it can end.

Illston plans to jail Anderson length of the trial if he follows through as expected on his vow of silence, according to the Associated Press.

Lawyers from both sides selected an eight-women, four-men jury with two female alternates on Monday.
