The news continues to get worse for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Just days after learning star winger Evgeni Malkin has been lost for the season due to a torn ACL, it is being reported that Sidney Crosby will remain out of the lineup until at least March due to concussion symptoms.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune, Crosby is still at least 10 days away from resuming normal exercise activities and the team does not expect to have their captain back in the lineup until at least next month.
The Tribune also says that there is no guarantee that the 23-year old Crosby will return at all this season. Crosby has not played since sustaining a concussion on January 5th after being driven into the boards by Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman.
