The Houston Rockets are playing Monday night without suspended guard Aaron Brooks.
The Rockets are playing the Denver Nuggets.
Brooks is averaging 12 points and 4 assists and has missed 24 games with a sprained left ankle.
The Rockets suspended Brooks for one game because he left the court during the fourth quarter of their last game against Memphis. The team won the game. Brooks has been been publicly frustrated about his diminished role.
He didn’t travel with the team to Denver.
Rockets coach Rick Adelman told the AP: “What he did was the completely wrong thing to do. He has to suffer the consequences.”
