Rasheed Wallace to remain retired

Former NBA forward Rasheed Wallace will NOT be making a comeback to the NBA for a stretch run with the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics opened up three roster spots on Thursday afternoon after making three separate trades to revamp their roster. Boston is expected to target several players that are bought out of their contracts over the next week, such as Troy Murphy, and there has been rumblings that Wallace could be lulled out of retirement to rejoin the Celtics.

However Wallace told Larry Ridley of NBC 7 in Boston that he “gave 15 years” to the NBA and has no plans to return to professional basketball.
