College Basketball Games of the Week (2/7/11 – 2/13/11):
Monday, February 7th: #20 Missouri at #2 Kansas at 9pm on ESPN
A great Big XII matchup kicks off the week as these two top 15 teams square off which big implication in the conference standings on the line.
Wednesday, February 9th: #13 Louisville at #8 Notre Dame at 7pm on ESPNU
The depth of the Big East Conference is on display again as the Fighting Irish and Cardinals matchup in a pivotal game. Both teams come into the game tied for second place in the conference with a 6-3 record.
Wednesday, February 9th: #14 Georgetown at #17 Syracuse at 8pm on ESPN
The Orange have been in a major funk lately losing four straight conference games after beginning the year 18-0. On the contrary, Georgetown has been playing their best basketball of the season capped off by a big road win at Villanova on January 29th.
Thursday, February 10th: #24 Illinois at #20 Minnesota
A strong Big 10 matchup as the Fighting Illini take on the Golden Gophers with both teams looking to improve upon their 5-4 conference records.
Friday, February 11th: Pennsylvania at Cornell at 7pm
The University of Pennsylvania dominated the Ivy League for decades. Last year, Cornell swept the nation ending the year in the Top 25 and advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament. Penn is off to a 2-0 start in the Ivy League as they look to regain their conference crown.
Saturday, February 12th: #1 Ohio State at #18 Wisconsin at 2pm on ESPN
The top-ranked Buckeyes will have another tough test at they hit the road to take on the Badgers in a hostile environment.
Saturday, February 12th: #4 Pittsburgh at #12 Villanova at 9pm on ESPN
Another outstanding Big East matchup at the top team in the conference, the Pitt Panthers, travels to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Villanova Wildcats. These two teams always play tough, physical games and Saturday’s contest should be no different.
Saturday, February 12th: #11 Kentucky at #24 Vanderbilt at 1pm on CBS
Two top 25 teams square off that are in desperate need of a conference win as John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats (4-3) travel to Vanderbilt (3-4).
Saturday, February 12th: #17 Syracuse at #13 Louisville at 12pm on ESPN
Kris Joseph, Rick Jackson, and the rest of the Syracuse Orange will continue to try and rebound from their recent slump as they hit the road and travel to Louisville to take on Rick Pitino and the Cardinals.
Sunday, February 13th: #10 Purdue at #24 Illinois at 1pm on CBS
The Boilermakers look to continue their top 10 performances as they hit the road to take on the Fighting Illini.
