The Cincinnati Bengals have named Jay Gruden as their new offensive coordinator.
The former head coach of the Florida Tuskers, of the United Football League, steps in to replace Bob Bratkowski.
Bratkowski was fire Monday.
Gruden spent four years at Louisville as a player and won four titles in the Arena Football League as a pro. He retired in 1996.
His only NFL coaching experience was for his brother Jon Gruden from 2002 to 2008. He was an offensive assistant and left after Jon was fired following the 2008 season.
