Bono, I hate you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, yeah… YOU.
I hate your music. I hate your crappy sunglasses. I hate your vernacular. I hate everything that makes U. And, I’m not alone.
Sadly, I never thought THIS reason would even be in the conversation.
I hate you for ruining sports.
It was bad enough that you were halftime entertainment every-so-often. It was bad enough when you were on those lame iPod commercials. And it was bad enough when you were on those “Look what Bono did for starving children” commercials.
But now you have taken it one step too far.
A three-game series between the Florida Marlins and Seattle Mariners on June 24-26 has been moved from Miami to Seattle because your terrible U2 concert. Major League Baseball said Thursday the change was made because of the scheduling conflict at Sun Life Stadium.
Bono, you plan to play at the stadium on June 29 and you’re making the Marlins vacate the stadium to allow setup time for the concert.
So hoards of middle-aged women can relive their youth screaming, “Hello, Hello! Hola!”
Florida will still be the home team, bat last, and the series will be played under NL rules.
Sort of makes me feeeeeeeellllll like I’ve got Vertigo.
