Colin Fly has a cool name. He also found a interesting story regarding Desmond Bishop.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP)—Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop once believed everyone was against him after he failed to stick in a starter’s role two years ago.
He’s earned another opportunity now, and the coaching staff couldn’t be happier.
Bishop struggled with injuries his first two seasons in the NFL after being picked by the Packers. He made one start in 2008 after Nick Barnett went out with an injury.
Two years later, Barnett is out for the year again and Bishop made the highlight play when he picked off a pass from Vikings quarterback Brett Favre and returned it for a 32-yard touchdown that gave the Packers a big boost.
Bishop says he hopes Favre will sign the ball for him one day.
That raises the question. If Favre continues to play how many players are going to start approaching him for an autograph or a picture? Bishop, born in 1984, was eight-years old when Favre took his first snap under center.
