  1. It was rough not having them in there while listening to them spank San Diego State.

They went 22, 30, 30, 22 in the major poll and received a 30 in The Five poll, because I couldn’t justify them over some other squads. Hopefully Nevada helps them back in.

  2. Should clarify above… 30’s in the poll are what I give teams that do not receive top 25 votes in polls.

  3. Dude, thanks for not being a homer. I probably would have slipped the Beavers in at 25 and I would have been ashamed of myself.

  4. Go Texas A&M! Watch out for them to make a push this year. D.Carter and D. Brown hve the most boring names in the world but they can play. They have a lot of power. Mis that with great D and some solid pitching. WATCH OUT!

  5. A&M hasn’t played an overly impressive schedule so far but, I expect this weekend against Oklahoma State to be a barometer for sure.

  6. The other orange and black…..

Quick programming note: OSU Baseball podcasts begin This weekend on The Five, don’t miss out.

  7. That’s a big jump for Cal, but, I didn’t follow who they were playing this last weekend. It better have been someone good. That and I know Arizona dropped their series but a 10 spot fall?

I don’t know, I’d still put Arizona in the top 10.

  8. Nebraska made a huge jump? Why? I missed who they played this last weekend. That and Vanderbuilt is sucha rickity team this year. What do you think is the reason?

  9. Cal was 7 when the Beavs played them. Now Stanford is a 9. How are the Beavs going to fare this weekend? Any insight on how the pitching is coming around?

  10. I have to think that being at home will be nice for the Beavers. Saturday could be odd because with gymnastics regionals, there will be SOME (not a lot, but some) drop off on attendance. Regardless, Stanford is good this year, they gave OSU a tough series last year in Palo Alto, don’t expect the Beavers to sweep but I won’t be surprised with a series win.

  11. Casey, why’d you leave the Beavers out? They did great this last weekend. Besides, Oregon State > Notre Dame on all fields/courts/rinks/diamonds.

  12. I’ll agree with James. For a different reason. I think the Beavs deserve to be in because I’m a self procalimed homer. I love the Beavers.
