Before tip off we were made aware that F Sean Carter has been suspended indefinitely (his second suspension in as many games) for actions that apparently constituted a “violation of team rules.”
Obviously, that could mean just about anything, and Carter is said to have a bit of an issue with attitude. I’ll keep you posted as more information is made available. This could be the last Oregon State sees of the freshman forward.
Lilja is broadcasting the game live on KBVR 88.7 Fm for those of you in the valley. I’d imagine that this crowd is the smallest ever for a Civil War game at Gill.
Through the first ten minutes of the half, the Beaver’s effort looked like it has been all season. . . air balls, bad passes, lazy fouls, and poor execution.
But somehow this team has found enough hustle to find themselves down by one at the half, and by playing decent team defense no less.
Offensively, the Beavs have been led by Calvin Haynes with 11 points. Bryce Taylor has buried 11 for the Ducks as well. Hold your breath Beaver faithful.
